How We Replaced a Printed Banner Menu With a 2-Screen Digital Display
Comal Street Tacos had 130+ menu items sitting in their Clover POS — duplicates at conflicting prices, sold-out items still listed, an "uncategorized" catch-all nobody had cleaned up in months. That's the part nobody mentions about digital menu boards: the design is the easy part. The real work is untangling the data first.

Cleaning up before designing anything
Before a single pixel got designed, we pulled the full Clover export, resolved every duplicate-price conflict directly with the owner, and cut sold-out items and stray add-ons. 130 items became a clean, accurate 120 — split roughly 66/54 across two screens by category, not just by count.
Matching the brand, not a template
First draft used a dark charcoal and marigold palette. The owner's actual logo — yellow-green background, dark green ink — told a different story, so the whole board got rebuilt around their real brand colors instead of forcing their branding to match a generic template.
Built for a TV, not a webpage
Menu boards live or die on readability from across a room. We delivered three layout options per screen (full menu, and a condensed grouped-by-dish version with larger text) as TV-ready JPG and PNG files, loaded straight onto a flash drive — no software, no login, no monthly menu-board subscription.

Why this matters
A digital menu board isn't a nicer banner. It's a clean source of truth that customers can actually read from across the counter — and it's only as good as the data behind it. We handled both sides: the messy POS cleanup and the TV-ready design.

We rebuild and redeliver the files — no special software needed on your end.
Do we need special hardware?▼
No — this runs off a standard flash drive on any modern TV.
